Strength Training for Runners: New Clinic With DC Running Coach Mike Hamberger
August 15, 2015 at 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Runners are commonly told to engage in some form of strength training to bolster their performance and stave off injuries, but what are the key details to maximizing a run-specific strength-training regimen? Which exercises are the most pivotal? Which exercises are overrated? How many sets do you need to perform for each exercise/movement and how long should each set last? How should a runner go about building a strength routine into their weekly schedule if he/she is also trying to maximize their run workouts? Is my form correct?
Come get answers to these questions and more at our Strength Training For Runners clinic, with presenter and local DC Running Coach, Mike Hamberger.
Time will be allocated at the end of the clinic for everyone to practice some of the key exercises that will be demonstrated, as there is an exponential difference between “good form” and “perfect form.”
Become a better self-coached runner. Clinic is limited to 20 so sign up today using Evenbrite or by calling 703-527-5492.
